DreamSpark
One of the most exciting things I’ve seen to come out of Redmond is DreamSpark.
In a nutshell DreamSpark is a selection of enterprise level, pro standard development tools that students in HE and now high schools can download and use for FREE.
The £20 Interactive Whiteboard!
Having been a follower of Johhny Chung Lee for some tine now, I only realised today that I’d not actually posted anything about the truly wonderful, innovative stuff this guy produces…
As you can see… it’s simply breathtaking!
Cool Tool: Pixlr
I have to say that I do get a touch jaded when people tweet me, email me or pm me with a ‘hey, have you seen this…’ message.
Band waggon jumping and a general sheep like mentality is prevelant amongst the average Web 2.0 fanboi’s….
But, there are exceptions… namely the bloody marvellous Pixlr.
Simple Surveys with Google Docs
While playing around with Google docs, which I must admit up until now that hasn’t been too often, I noticed that you can create simple Forms to use with your Google Docs Spreadsheet.
Now, as someone who has tried to work with Surveys in Sharepoint, I’m always on the lookout for a simple way to create surveys, questionaires, polls etc for students to complete.
Cool Tool: Wordle
I recently took over a support call, which a colleague escalated (ie he couldn’t fix the problem), regarding an online application called Wordle.
I’m so glad he did!
